The PTT (transmit) button is large and easy to press, making it possible to push the button securely even while wearing gloves. The 360-degree rotating clip on the back of the microphone allows for secure attachment to your chest. The earphone jack size is 2.5Φ. Equipped with three PTT (push-to-talk) buttons. The sub-channel PTT function of the radio allows you to operate the pre-set channel with the microphone at hand.

The HM-238L (HM238L) is a tie-pin type microphone manufactured by Icom, compatible with sub-channel PTT functions. It is a microphone for radios. It has three PTT switches, supporting the sub-channel PTT function of the transceiver. *The sub-channel PTT function allows you to assign the main PTT (transmit) switch to the main channel (group) and assign the second and third PTT switches to the second and third channels (groups), enabling instant switching and transmission/reception across up to three channels (groups). It has an IP54 rating for dust and everyday water resistance (excluding the earphone jack). The connector for connecting to the radio is a 2-pin slim L-type connector.
